VIRC Picnic Trial – Comox Valley

VIRC  mock/picnic trial in the Comox Valley, north of Black Creek. This event will function like a regular field trial, but it will include discussions about the setups and judging criteria. This format allows for a learning experience if you wish, rather than being strictly competitive.  Dave Douglas will be your judge for the day.

This isn’t a traditional training day; it’s a trial-practice day. Handlers may seek help at their discretion.

Tests will be available for all levels: puppy, junior, qualifying, and open. Each dog will run the test as they would in a competition and will be judged accordingly.

Be prepared to gun for your fellow handlers, and pack your lunch! This is a great opportunity to expose you and your dog to a trial-like environment, see where you’re at with your training, and talk about dogs and judging for the day.

Please pre-register so we can determine the number of ducks needed and running orders.  Please fill in the form below. First dog runs at 9:00.  It will be at the “Airport” property, use the Five Star entrance and close the gate please
