Canadian Field Trial Results

There has been lots of discussion (and confusion) around where to find  the latest Canadian Field Trial results.  Previously, there was a page on the National Retriever Club (NRCC) website, however since the website is in the process of being rebuilt, much of the information is not being kept up to date.  Until the new website is up and running, you can access field trial results through Retriever Results.   No subscription is required to view event results.

From the menu on the VIRC home page (at the top or  right side) select  Retriever Results – Field Trial Results (as shown below in yellow).   This will open the Retriever Results search page.

On the Retriever Results Events page, select Year (2022), then Club (scroll down the list to find the Club you are interested in).

National Qualifiers:

From Retriever Results you can also see which dogs are qualified for the 2022 Canadian National.   Select Nationals from the top of the page, then select Canadian National Open, or Canadian National Amateur to see the lists.

NOTICE TO ALL CLUBS:
HEALTH REMINDERS

NOTICE TO ALL CLUBS:
HEALTH REMINDERS
This notice is to provide clubs with a reminder regarding the health of the dogs on the premises of events.

No dog may be brought onto the grounds or premises of an event if it: Is known to have distemper, parvovirus, kennel cough or other communicable disease; Has recovered from distemper, parvovirus, kennel cough or other communicable disease within the last 30 days (prior to the event); Has been housed within 30 days prior to the even on premises on which there existed distemper, parvovirus, kennel cough or other communicable disease.
Clubs do have the right to remove a dog from the event premises and the exhibitor may be subject to disciplinary action if it is found that CKC rules have been contravened.

It is suggested that clubs include this information in its Premium Lists as a reminder to exhibitors.

National Retriever Club of Canada-NRCC website update

Hi All,

The National Retriever Club of Canada’s website is being updated!  The plan is to have the website upgraded and functioning April 2022.  In the meantime, minimal updates will be made to the existing website with the exception of the 2022 Field Trial Schedule.  The 2022 Field Trial Schedule will be posted very soon.

Also, Karen Carson, Facebook Administrator, and Dona Martin, Communications Officer have retired from their positions.  The NRCC thanks Karen and Dona for their huge contribution to the NRCC.  The NRCC will be looking to fill these big shoes.  More details to come.

If you have any inquiries, please email secretary@nrcc-canada.com or webmaster@nrcc-canada.com.

Thank you,

Laura Danforth

Swallowfield Cleanup Day

SOS – ALL HANDS ON DECK!

With the fall licensed trial being held at Swallowfield we need all hands on deck to help get the grounds ship shape.  There is a clean up day scheduled on Saturday, September 11, where there will be some hired help but we need as many bodies as possible to do the yeoman’s work of grooming so that judges have the best possible grounds to work with and safe for our dogs.   Please consider lending a hand even for an hour or two, as every little bit helps.  Bring your own tools – rakes, hand pruners, brush cutters, whatever you have for hand to hand combat to tackle the never ending mass of blackberry and other invasive species.   You can also help by contributing to the Swallowfield Labour Fund which pays for the hired help.
