VIRC Mock Trial
VIRC will be hosting its first mock trial. This event will function like a regular field trial, but it will include discussions about the setups and judging criteria. This format allows for a learning experience if you wish, rather than being strictly competitive. Hope Roberts will be your judge for the day.
Handlers are permitted to use training equipment; however, this is not a traditional training day. There will be no re-runs, re-throws, or modifications to the tests, although handlers may seek help or use corrections at their discretion.
Tests will be available for all levels: puppy, junior, qualifying, and open. Each dog will run the test as they would in a competition and will be judged accordingly.
Be prepared to gun for your fellow handlers, and pack your lunch! This is a great opportunity to expose you and your dog to a trial-like environment, see where you’re at with your training, and talk about dogs and judging for the day.
Pre-registration is preferred to determine number of ducks needed and running orders. Please fill in the form below. Arrive by 9:00am for orientation, first dog runs at 9:30.
3475 Kingburne Drive, Cobble Hill. Please respect this private property; stay on marked roads and follow instructions regarding parking. This is an active working farm, so dogs must be under control at all times and not interfere with livestock.
